Meet the Staff
Tammy Wilson, Development Officer
Tammy Wilson has over 14 years of experience in community development in a variety of disciplines and has provided community development consulting services to both national and international community development organizations.
In her role as Senior Associate with a previous consulting firm, Tammy was charged with developing New Markets Tax Credit and Bank Enterprise Award strategies and tactics for her clients in preparation for the allocation processes. Tammy also served as lead project manager to develop strategic marketing initiatives for Fannie Mae's Multicultural Markets Division and to develop community development product guidelines for GMAC.
As National Project Manager for Bank of America's Community Development Division, Tammy managed national community development policy issues and programs, including the Bank of America Native American Initiative. Tammy also managed Bank of America's national Report to Communities program, served as initial project lead for the division's Balanced Scorecard performance measurement initiative, and participated on various teams charged with managing merger-related community development integration projects. Prior to this role, Tammy was a Community Investment Coordinator in South Carolina. Her accomplishments in this capacity included securing mortgage financing for affordable housing developments and both developing and managing the execution of market development plans and community revitalization strategies in partnership with local governments, bank executives and grassroots community organizations. Tammy was also an instructor for the Bank of America Small Business Success curriculum designed to assist small business owners in business and marketing planning, management and sustainability concepts. Tammy has both consumer and small business lending experience, as well as retail loan servicing expertise.
Currently, Tammy serves as Principal of Wilson Consulting Associates, a multidisciplinary firm providing corporate and community strategy solutions. Tammy has successfully leveraged the Treasury's Department's Community Development Financial Institutions Fund and Bank Enterprise Award programs, realizing over $1 million in grant proceeds for her clients.
Tammy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Economics and Spanish from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She also served as a contributing writer to the Fannie Mae-commissioned study "Bridging the Gap: An Analysis of Impediments Affecting Minority and Women-Owned Lenders in the Secondary Market" in October 2001. She is a member of the National Association of Female Executives, Affordable Housing Coalition of South Carolina, South Carolina Partners in Homeownership, the City of Rock Hill's Human Relations Committee and the York County Economic Development Board.
